Spring Events Season 2019: all done and so much fun!
Our team packed their suitcases and traveled to 7 states to attend 11 events in 93 days.
It’s our favorite time of the year! Our busy spring events season may have come to a close, but we feel totally energized and our hearts are full of gratitude. It’s always amazing to meet our gymnastics community in person. We're so inspired by your dedication, and thankful that we can contribute thoughtful, high quality leotards to such a worthy cause. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say "hello," we hope you had as much fun as we did.

It’s impossible to capture everything that we saw and felt, but here are a few highlights from our travelling teammates…
ALAMO CLASSIC
"The Alamo Classic was hosted by Aerial Athletics of Texas. Destira designed and sold custom Alamo Classic leotards. The gymnasts who qualified for the Fiesta Jam, the big show that crowned the event, received the leotards for free and wore them during their performance. Exciting! We were honored to part of the festivities."
CLASSIC ROCK INVITATIONAL
"The Classic Rock Invitational was hosted by the Arizona Sunrays. Destira designed and provided the giveaway leo that every athlete went home with. There were different performances throughout the weekend and the event coordinator dressed as an Elvis impersonator to seal the Classic Rock-themed deal!"
HEART OF A CHAMPION INVITATIONAL
"Chris Waller who started the event, was a gymnast who had to have open heart surgery at the age of 15. He then went on to compete in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona! Ten years ago he had to have his 2nd heart surgery. In an effort to provide children with heart disease a more fun and normal childhood, a wonderful group of outstanding doctors and nurses established Camp del Corazon. After collaborating with this wonderful organization, Chris and his wife were so moved that they wanted to help fund the program. This is where the Chris Waller’s Heart of a Champion Invitational was born! This was our first event we’ve ever attended in southern California, and we received GREAT feedback. Val Kondos Field had a book signing and Jill Hicks presented a short class on college recruiting."
CHARITY CHOICE INVITATIONAL
"The Charity Choice Invitational is a competition held every year to showcase teams competing on behalf of a charity of their choice. Destira was lucky enough to be part of this event again this year, and designed the meet leo for all participating athletes! The event took place February 15-18th and is held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center in Tacoma, WA."
