Summer Games 2024: Meet Team USA

We are so excited to watch Team USA compete in women’s artistic gymnastics at the upcoming Summer Games in Paris! Take a look below and get to know the Team USA members that will be competing in Paris. 

Simone Biles

• Biles is currently 27 years old. She is from Spring, TX.
• This will be Biles’ 3rd appearance at the Summer Games after competing in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020. She is a 7-time Olympic medalist with 4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
• Biles is the most decorated US gymnast in history.
• Biles has 5 skills named after her: Biles (vault), Biles II (vault), Bikes (beam), Biles (floor), and Biles II (floor).
• Biles will be debuting a new skill on Bars during the Paris Games.
• Current Gym: World Champions Centre
• Current Summer Games 2024 Achievements: Qualified for Team Final; currently leads All-Around with a 59.566; currently leads Vault; currently leads Floor Exercise; currently ranking second on Balance Beam; currently eighth on Uneven Bars

Jordan Chiles

• Chiles is 23 years old. She is from Vancouver, WA.
• This is Chiles’ second Summer Games. She competed in the Tokyo 2020 Games. She received 1 silver medal. 
• Chiles was only 11 years old when she reached the elite level in gymnastics. 
• Chiles loves superheroes - especially Wonder Woman!
• Current Summer Games 2024 Achievements: Qualified for Team Final; currently second on Floor Exercise

Suni Lee

• Lee is a 21-year-old gymnast from St. Paul, MN.
• This is Lee’s second Summer Games. She previously competed in Tokyo 2020. She received 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal.
• Suni has also competed in NCAA gymnastics with the Auburn Tigers. 
• Current Gym: Midwest Gymnastics Center
• Lee is the first American woman of Asian descent to receive the All-Around title at the Summer Games. 
• Current Summer Games 2024 Achievements: Qualified for Team Final; currently holds second place All-Around spot with a 56.132; currently third on Uneven Bars; currently third on Balance Beam

Jade Carey

• Carey is a 24-year-old gymnast from Phoenix, AZ. 
• This is Carey’s second Summer Games. She also competed in Tokyo 2020 and received a gold medal in the floor exercise. 
• Carey’s favorite event in gymnastics is vault. 
• Current Summer Games 2024 Achievements: Qualified for Team Final; currently second on Vault

Hezly Rivera 

• Rivera is a 16-year-old gymnast from Oradell, NJ. 
• Rivera is the youngest gymnast on the 2024 Paris team. 
• Rivera achieved her goal of making a national team to represent Team USA at just 16 years old.
• Her favorite event is the uneven bars.
• Current Summer Games 2024 Achievements: Qualified for Team Final
