Team Destira’s Holiday Traditions

‘Tis the season of traditions! The holidays are full of traditions, each one different and special. Many families created traditions so long ago that they have been passed down for generations. Others have created newer traditions with friends and family alike. We are excited to share some of Team Destira’s favorite holiday traditions below!

Destira CEOs Jen and Jodi with Desitra Founder Donna and their girls

Our Director of Marketing, Krystal, and Director of Sales, Braylee, have enjoyed a tradition called Hotelidays for the last 10 years! Every Christmas Eve, they, along with their friends, enjoy a night out at local hotels to eat, drink, and be merry in the festive spirit.

Our Operations Manager, Darcie, and her family make tamales all day long on Christmas Day for a giant tamale feast that night.

Olga, our Senior Graphic Designer, enjoys a potluck Thanksgiving meal with friends and a White Elephant gift exchange. Plus, she loves to host friends on New Year’s Eve to ring in the New Year together.

Assistant Sales Manager, Emi, has long enjoyed a family tradition with her grandmother to go see the decorated trees as well as pick out a special ornament. This tradition is being passed down the generations now with her mom taking her nieces and nephews. A newer tradition for Emi is having a BIG crab boil on Christmas day!

Our E-Commerce Manager, Taylor, enjoys spending the day with her family decorating the house and gingerbread cookies. A true family affair with matching pajamas, hot chocolate, and holiday music throughout the house!

Madison, our Communications Manager, enjoys a yearly picture taken with holiday bears at her grandmother's house. With bears dating back to 1974, everyone grabs their birth year bear and takes pictures as a family.

Custom Project Coordinator, Anissa, has a unique tradition that was started a few years ago. They fill a giant plastic wrap ball with little prizes. Then, they have 30 seconds to pull as much plastic wrap off as possible before passing it onto the next person.

Do you have any fun family traditions? Share them with us by emailing them at destirastars@destira.com and we can share them with the community! 💚
