Tips for Sizing
Destira apparel runs fairly true to your athlete's clothing size. Most often, an athlete will wear the same size they wear in street clothes.
For example, a Child Large (10/12) in girls clothing is a Child Large (10) in Destira.
Leotards, shorts, leggings, and tank tops are made to fit tightly so we suggest sizing up for growing room or a more relaxed fit. Metallic fabrics have less stretch and will have a tighter feel when worn. Keep fabric type in mind when choosing size.
Please do not size based on another athletic apparel brand, as each brand runs differently. When in doubt size to your athlete's street clothing size.

How to Measure Your Athlete:

- Chest Measurement: taken with a deep breath, arms held out at shoulder height. Go directly over shoulder blades on back.
- Waist Measurement: taken at natural waistline, on-or-around belly-button
- Hip Measurement: taken around the fullest part of the buttocks
- Torso Measurement: taken from the center of the shoulder, down the front, between the legs, and up to the back to the starting point.

Our apparel runs true to size as we follow national clothing standards. The size your gymnast wears in street clothing is a great starting point.
We discourage using other leotard brands as a reference point as all brands size differently.
Check out our size chart that has the most up-to-date information regarding fit. We recommend measuring your gymnast and referring to the chart when deciding which size to order to get the best, most accurate suggestion. If you’re deciding between two different sizes, we suggest choosing the size that is closest to your gymnast’s torso measurement as this is the most important one.
Please note: Our Junior (JR) size has recently been renamed to Child X-Large (CXL).

Our apparel is designed to exceed product lifetime standards for athletic wear. Garments that undergo the demands of sports can expect a life span of about 1.5-2 years if care instructions are adhered to.
The proper way to care for your apparel is to hand wash inside out in cold water using a mild detergent and hang to dry. Do not use Woolite, granular detergent, fabric softener, or bleach. Do not iron.
Embellishments, such as crystals, and graphics are subject to abrasion wear. Velcro on mats and gym equipment can cause damage. Be gentle with mesh, lace and other delicate details. Strappy leotards should be pulled up by the body to minimize stress at the seams.

RETURNS:
Returns are valid within 30 days of delivery if purchased retail on Destira.com. Item must be unworn and in original condition with tags and scrunchie attached. Items not meeting these conditions will only be eligible for store credit and are subject to additional fees.
Exchange shipping is free for first time exchanges! Discount codes will not be carried over to an exchange of a different item. Returns for refunds will be charged a $6.95 shipping fee upon processing.
