Meet the Team: Welcome Ashley to the Destira Sales Team!
We’re so excited to officially welcome Ashley Pitts to the Destira family as our new Sales Operations Coordinator! With a background in fashion retail leadership, a heart for customer relationships, and a passion for building community, Ashley is already bringing incredible energy to the team. Get to know her a little better below!
Tell us a little about yourself and your role at Destira!
Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’m the new Sales Operations Coordinator here at Destira. I primarily work with our consignment accounts and help support our customers and partners however I can. My goal is always to make people feel like they’re working with a friend while also giving them the best customer service possible. I truly believe strong relationships make all the difference.
What did you do before joining Destira?
Before Destira, I worked in fashion retail for 17 years, most recently as the store manager for the flagship & Other Stories location in Beverly Hills for six years. I managed everything from marketing and merchandising to recruitment, operations, and profit and loss strategy. I’ve always loved the fast-paced world of retail and working closely with both teams and customers.
What made you excited to join Destira?
Destira gives me the opportunity to use my background in sales and operations in a completely new way, and I love taking on new challenges. What really stood out to me was Destira’s focus on family and relationships. It allows me to grow professionally while also having more time with my daughter, which means so much to me.
What’s something you value in both work and life?
I really try to believe in the goodness of people. I think that when you build genuine relationships with customers and teammates, it creates trust and accountability in such a positive way. I also believe that how you do something is just as important as what you do.
Where are you from?
I grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, and I’m definitely a beach girl at heart! I actually moved back to the neighborhood where I grew up after being away for college because I loved the community so much and knew it was where I wanted to raise my family.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I love creative hobbies where I can make something with my hands, like pottery, knitting, and gardening are some of my favorites. Most of my free time is spent with my daughter, Nico, and we love cooking, hiking, beach days, painting, museums, and aquariums together.
Favorite books, podcasts, or recommendations lately?
I love listening to the Radiolab podcast because I’m always interested in learning something new. One of my favorite books is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and I’m also a huge fan of the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown.
