Every great brand has a beginning, and ours started with a mother’s love and a needle and thread.

More than twenty-five years ago in Los Angeles, California, Donna Levy began sewing leotards for her three gymnast daughters. She wanted garments that could keep up with their intense routines while letting their personalities shine.

When folks at local Southern California gyms saw her creations in action, they were hooked. The vibrant designs and perfect fit stood out instantly, and the orders started rolling in.

Back then, Donna crafted each leotard by hand. As demand grew, so did her operation—and Destira was officially born!
