International Women's Day 2021: We Choose to Challenge
March 8, 2021 is International Women’s Day (IWD) of collective action to celebrate women's achievement, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality.
This year’s theme is Choose to Challenge, asking people everywhere to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality, even as we seek out and celebrate women's achievements.Â
In line with our mission is to positively impact all girls and those who love them, we're not going to let this IWD pass without accepting the invitation to pledge our dedication to being ever-better allies for girls, women, and those who love them. We hope you'll join us.

Jodi, Destira Owner I choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. I choose to work to make Destira a platform for social change and that in our work, we can drive Equality for all. I will strive to create a place that reflects the communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their full authentic selves to work. |

Jen, Destira Owner Many successful women helped me through my journey. I firmly believe that when we elevate each other, we also elevate ourselves, personally and professionally. I’m a big believer that women have a responsibility to help mentor and lift each other up, and to build a circle that keeps our spirits up when we need it most. Also, as important it is to be a cheerleader, I know it’s equally important to offer candid and constructive feedback too. I choose to challenge to forge inclusive work cultures where women's careers thrive and achievements are celebrated! |
Krystal, Director of Marketing and Consumer Success I choose to challenge the barriers of my own learning growing up as a woman. Nothing should get in the way of anyone achieving their dreams. I choose to lift other women up and celebrate their achievements and voices. I recognize my voice matters, I can do hard things, and I am brave enough to try even if it means failing. |

Braylee, Account Manager I’m proud to be a part of a world right now where women are recognized and starting to be treated equally for their achievements. |

Janine, Custom Project Manager My wish is that we all feel free, and I pledge to challenge the systemic and social barriers that hold anyone back from living their truest life. |
So what about you? As parent, a coach, a small business owner, mentor, leader, friend -- will you choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality when you see it? Will you commit to actively seeking out and celebrating women's achievements?Â
