Gym Spotlight: Get to Know Champions 1826

Our spotlight is shining on one of our partners: Champions 1826. Read on to learn about this young, dynamic gym and its program. Destira has the pleasure of working with the Champions 1826 team members to fulfill their custom leotard needs and to stock their pro shop.

There’s a Lot of Love in these Leotards
Destira leotards are for everyone, from the recreational gymnast just getting into the sport, to the seasoned competitor.  We’re here for every athlete,  gym manager, parent, and coach to offer the most perfect-fitting, trend-setting gymnastics apparel on the market. It’s about more than only leotards for us.  Behind every product and interaction with our customers is our mission is to positively impact and empower all girls and those who love them, fostering self-expression and self-esteem -- and we love partnering with gyms that share our values.

In March, we featured Salto Gymnastics Inc. on our Gym Spotlight, a large program with decades of athletic programming behind them. This month we’re swinging our Gym Spotlight over to Austin, Texas, where Champions 1826 is two years into growing their program with mission we really connect with.

Get to know Champions 1826
Champions chooses Destira to stock their pro shop through our consignment program, and we work together on custom leotard designs to bring an extra-special element to their gym, cultivating a greater sense of unity among their athletes while enjoying a super-comfortable leotard that sparkles with Champions 1826 spirit.

Here's Allison Bishop, Gym Manager, to share a glimpse into Champions 1826:

• Our Mission: "We are a unique gym with multiple avenues to experience success – a home away from home where your child is valued as an individual.  Champions is a fun and safe space where they learn to believe in themselves and gain confidence to accomplish their wildest dreams."
• What We’re Proud of: "We opened 2 years ago and have grown tremendously! We've added competitive teams and additional classes to help our community grow!"
• #Goals4Growth: "We want to grow by being part of our surrounding communities and helping them set and accomplish their goals!"
• Typical Saturday at the Gym: "Busy! :) We've got classes running all morning, open gym, private lessons, and then we finish the day with birthday parties."
