Look What's Happening at Destira
It’s a busy spring event season for Destira and we love it! Most of the country feels like it is living inside a deep freeze, but that doesn’t keep us from looking ahead to thaw. The anticipation of spring keeps us looking forward — and so does our 2018 Spring Events Schedule. See where we’ve been and where we’re going. We’ve met so many athletes and supporters, and we look forward to meeting even more inspirational members of the gymnastics community.
January 2018
All eyes were on the Big Apple Saturday, Jan. 27 for the Manhattan Classic. NYC Elite hosted over 3,500 athletes for this exciting event that showcased gymnastic teams from across the country.
February 2018
Omega Gymnastics in Beaverton, Oregon hosted 700 athletes for the Top Gun Team Challenge on Feb. 9-11 at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. In Atlanta, 2,220 gymnasts participated in the Paws for a Cause Invitational — it was be held on Feb. 9-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The Multnomah Athletic Club will be hosted 1,000 gymnasts for the MAC open on Feb. 16 through Feb. 19 in Portland, Oregon. The 2018 Charity Choice Invitational was held on Feb. 16-19 at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center. The Invitational hosted 2,205 athletes and is hosted by ECGA.
Kansas City’s Crown Center was the venue for the 2018 Cupid Classic on Feb. 16-18 in Kansas City, Missouri. This event drew 1,050 participants.
Destira’s final event in February is the Great West Gymfest (GWGF) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and expects 1,000 gymnasts to attend. It will be held at the Coeur d’Alene Resort on Feb. 22-25 and is hosted by IEGA.
March 2018
The Novato Gymnastics 2018 Classic will be held March 3-4 with over 400 athletes registered to compete at the Novato Gymnastics Center in Novato, California. Washington Compulsory States will be held the weekend of March 16. Finally, Excel Washington States will be held the weekend of March 23.
April 2018
On April 13-15, Region 2 Regionals at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center will be held. This event is hosted by Emerald City — 400 athletes are registered to participate. Oregon Compulsory States is scheduled for April 23.
