Destira Star Stella shared this with us at the end of July 2020. Stella’s writing is a perfect reminder of why we are here — passion for gymnastics and desire to support and empower youth is at the heart of what we do at Destira. Our work is for the young athletes who love the experience of being a gymnast. Thank you for sharing, Stella!
As parents ourselves, we know that a poorly-fitting mask is a no-go for most kids, so we meticulously designed our masks to account for the changing shape of the human face between preschool and high school. Our masks are tailored to each age range for a contoured fit that’s so comfortable, you may forget you’re wearing it. Premium braided elastic over the head holds the mask securely in place during tumbling practice and beyond. We think they’re cute enough to wear around town, too.
Guest writer Anna shares her story of a big perspective shift in how she shows up for her 10-year-old gymnast.

A properly-fitted cotton mask will, when worn correctly, contain most of those potentially-infectious droplets, so that we can say it, but not spray it. Here's some science about that, and what makes Destira face masks so great.
